Health & Safety Auditing Services
Safety Auditing is highly recommended by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and is an excellent way of demonstrating active management of Health and Safety to meet MHSWR (1999).HSE Guideance HSG65 "Successful Health & Safety Management" recommends that audits are undertaken annually to assist organisations to focus their resources in areas of most need.
Auditing can be measured against HSG65 and OHSAS 188001 as well as measuring and assessing your status against legal compliance and your own internal Quality Assurance standards.
Our auditors will examine your existing management policies and procedures for securing health, safety and welfare. This is together with a tour of inspection which will help identify areas wwhere new policies are needed and where the existing procedures are not working effectively.
We also offer specific Audits in relation to the areas of Asbestos and Legionella. We have often found that existing compliance in these areas is lacking concise explanation, correct reporting and in some cases particualr failings that could leave clients open to prosecution. In these situations PIRA Health and Safety Services Ltd will take you existing reports and procedures and compare them to the legal requirements and the safety considerations found on site. Our Health and Safety Audit will consider the 30 plus subject areas of Health and Safety as described in the general description below.
